My name is Richard Fuller. I’m a fairly ordinary, fairly odd person, with some particular gifts (strengths) and weaknesses, just like most of the rest of us. I agreed to be Clerk of TCFM because I had a numinous / luminous sense of meaning: “this gift/challenge is specifically tailored to your situation.”
I hope, during my year-and-a-half term, to reflect back to the Meeting community how I see it growing in integration and integrity. I also hope to share a fair amount about my vision of clerking and shared leadership. I believe many of us can serve as Clerk, each in our individual (ordinary & odd) ways. I hope to use this weblog to inspire others. I say to you, “you can help me with my clerking process, once you get some idea of what I am up to.”
I also say to you, “Think about how you would do it. Different from me, of course, but how?” After all, Nominating Committee is going to start looking for a new clerk in January of 2009. Open yourself to the possibility that, if they asked you, you would say “yes!”
