In my mailbox I receive many things. Here are some that might interest others.
* We got a thank-you letter from Lili Herbert, Director of Friends School Minnesota “for your ongoing support & your recent, generous donation…”
* Friends World News, a 16-page newsletter from Friends World Committee for Consultation. The lead article is on the crisis in Kenya. It is followed by “Earthquake in Congo.” Both detail Quaker responses. There’s an article on historic peace churches in Asia and one on concerns about children of prisoners.
* AFSC now Central Regional News and views, Summer 2008 is eight colorful pages highlighting the efforts of youth throughout the region. Among the features, a new counter-recruitment guide, “Dr. King at Red Cloud (HS at Pine Ridge Reservation),” and lots of high-school-age and adult activities around the region. Available as a download.
* The Pendle Hill catalog of “Workshops, Retreats, and Short Courses” Fall 2008 – Spring 2009. This is duplicated on Pendle Hill’s comprehensive website.
* We got a letter from the group formerly known as the “Kingdom Oil Christian Foundation,” saying “While we know that the name “Kingdom Oil” came from the Lord, we also know that He has released us to make this change” to Twin Cities Christian Foundation.
